Aiden McGorry (b. New York City) is an interdisciplinary designer and concert cellist. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University's School of Architecture, where he was a recipient of the Britton Memorial Thesis Award for Collaborative Research. He also completed two minors in geography and music, and served as a Remembrance Scholar. Aiden has worked at design offices, for studio artists, and has conducted research throughout the US, UK, Scandinavia, Italy, and Hungary.

Aiden received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University's School of Architecture, where he was a recipient of the Britton Memorial Award. He has collaborated with artists and architects alike, designing and contributing to built installations, work, and research internationally spanning the US, UK, Italy, and Hungary. He has worked at Yabu Pushelberg in New York, USA (2018, 2019); ECOL Studio in Florence Italy (2023); OKS Architetti in Florence, Italy (2022); and as an Artist Apprentice for Jane Sangerman at her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn, USA (2023). He has also worked with the design collaborative i/thee as part of the installation build teams for the Hello Wood Builder Summit in Veszprem, Hungary (2023), and Bethel Woods Art and Architecture Festival (2021, 2023). Aiden's personal research includes spatial-politics of heritage, nostalgia, and cultural identity through the lens of Asian diaspora; monument and collective memory of Lockerbie, Scotland based on the Pan Am 103 flight disaster in 1988; analysis of the Secessionist Movement in Vienna in the early 1900s through an art-architecture-music perspective; and projective geometries of HDPE plastics towards a built pavilion. He has won the Dean's SOA Photography Competition (2021) and received honorable mention for Slivers Competition (2021).

Principal teachers include Gregory Wood, assistant principal cellist of Symphoria; William Knuth, chamber musian of Duo Sonidos. He studied with Elvira Sullivan for over ten years in New York City. Most recently, Aiden performed Dvorak's Cello Concerto with the Syracuse University Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the Setnor School of Music Concerto Competition (2023), Arensky Piano Trio at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall (2024), and a series of Art Songs of the Philippines with virtuoso Michael Dadap (2024). He was a winner of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Young Musicians Program where he performed Faure's Piano Quartet at Alice Tully Hall (2019). He has previously performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Rockwood Music Hall, the National Opera Center, and Scandinavia House on Park Avenue. He has played in masterclasses for members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulysses Quartet, Orion Quartet, Publiq Quartet, among others.
